Smart Sheet now offers a more diversified set of field types and multiple view options to meet various data visualization needs. Diversified Field Types
- Compared to traditional spreadsheets, smart sheets can record information such as personnel, progress, and group chats. Each row has built-in fields such as the creator, last editor, and last modification time, allowing for the recording of diversified business data.
- Content permissions can be set on key fields, such as "Amount" or "Progress Status", for only specified members to edit. Permissions can also be set based on the creator of each record, allowing members to only view the records created by themselves.
- Smart sheets introduce new field types such as group chat, auto-numbering, currency, and geographic location. These can be used in scenarios like task follow-up, inventory management, cross-border financial analysis, and store inspections, satisfying diverse data recording needs across industries.
Multiple Views for Different Scenarios
- Smart sheets provide multiple view options, including form, Gantt, kanban, and gallery, allowing data to be visualized from different perspectives to satisfy diverse presentation needs. Members can view and edit data across these various views, and their individual filtering actions will not interfere with each other.
- View-level permissions can also be set, so that only specified members are allowed to add or modify the different views. This prevents accidental changes to the established visualizations.
- On mobile devices, each row of records can be displayed in a card mode, making it easier to view data.
Improved Efficiency Driven by Automated Processes
- Smart sheets support automated processes. Based on custom rules, they can perform actions like sending messages or modifying records when certain conditions are met, such as reaching a specific time or when key data changes. This helps users complete repetitive tasks and save time.
- Automated processes can now initiate group chats and send messages. When key data changes, automated processes can automatically start group chats and @mention relevant members for processing, based on predefined rules. For example, in a task management scenario, automated processes can initiate a follow-up group for each task to sync progress and automatically add members as needed to assist with the tasks.
- Run logs are now available for automated processes. When a process runs abnormally, the run log can assist you in troubleshooting.
Dashboards and Forms
- A new dashboard feature is added, which can visualize the data from smart sheets into various chart types like bar charts, line charts, and metric cards. This is suitable for presenting business data to supervisors in a clear and concise manner.
- A new form feature is added, which can generate forms from the fields in smart sheets with just one click. This makes it easy to collect information from colleagues or customers. The forms can be conveniently filled out on mobile devices. Importantly, users will not be able to see the submission results of others, making information collection more secure.
Integration with Other Apps
- Custom apps can now create smart sheets via the API and write data from internal systems into the smart sheets for members to view and edit. Members can use various view options to visualize the data and build custom data dashboards.
- Smart sheets created by apps can have their data accessed and updated via the API. This enables seamless data synchronization between smart sheets and other apps.
IM
- Messages can be grouped and filtered by unread, @me, private chat, group chat, internal/external chat, tag, and label for more efficient message processing.
- Chat tags can be added in the WeCom app. Chats can be tagged by project for quick search and management.
- Images and videos in chats can be opened in multiple windows in the WeCom app.
- WeCom chat history can be migrated between mobile and PC on the same network.
- Chat messages, emails, and files can be forwarded to other company's chats.
Optimized Overseas User Experience
- Overseas members can now use their email address to register and log in to WeCom.
- For overseas members, the voice call experience, file transmission rate, and preview speed in anti-leakage mode are improved.
- Overseas companies can use "Report" for overseas members to report quickly.
Optimized External Communication Experience
- The personal profile page can now display more information to business partners, such as company introduction and business introduction. Images, videos, documents, files, and other types can be added to help business partners quickly learn about your company.
- After you add a business partner, your business card will be automatically sent for professional communication.
- Added business partners can be viewed in "Contacts" -> "My Customers" and displayed by company, making it easy to view and manage your business relationships.
- Members can add more information to display to business partners. Admins can also add the information centrally.
Mails
- Email Contacts is added for quick selection of email recipients.
- You can now batch import email contacts. Files in XLSX, XLS, and CSV formats exported from Foxmail and Outlook are supported.
- Emails can be forwarded to chats with one click for colleagues to view and process easily.
Approvals
- Approval forms can be exported on mobile for easy printing and storage.
- When applying for leave, business trips, offsite work, or overtime across multiple days, you can modify the duration details day by day for accurate attendance statistics.
Calendar
- The display of all-day events is optimized for cross-timezone scheduling.
Connect with WeChat
Broadcast Messages
- Once multiple broadcasting tasks are created, company members can send all messages scheduled for the day with just one click.
- After a broadcast message is sent, the chat will not float to the top of the message list.
Contact Customers
- It is easier for employees to delete one-way customers. After filtering out the one-way customers, they can swipe left to delete them individually or select multiple to delete in batches.
Customer Moments
- Content posted in Moments can now be displayed to all added customers.
Customer Group
- The anti-harassment functionality now includes removing members sending QR codes, voice messages, and chat history.
- When a new customer joins an external group, the group admin can click the joining message to view the customer's personal information. If the customer is found to be not a real business partner, the admin can quickly set the customer's permissions to prevent harassment or file a complaint.
- Group name can now be set independently for new groups automatically created by "Join Group Chat". Companies can also use group templates to quickly configure customer groups.
- Configuration of New Members is supported for group templates. Companies can batch configure it to groups.
